Ready to work in Adult Social Care? An Introduction to Adult Social Care will give you all the foundational knowledge and skills you need to thrive in an Adult Social Care role.
Following on from our popular Working in Adult Social Care, Information Session, these half-day training sessions are designed for people who are ready to take the next step. Whether you've just attended one of our information sessions or have no formal care experience, this is where your journey really begins.
Sessions run for 3 hours and are led by people who know the sector inside out. You'll leave with a solid grounding in the essentials of social care, knowledge that will not only prepare you for the workplace but give you a real edge in interviews.
Who is this session for? This training is open to everyone; no previous care experience is required. It is particularly well-suited to anyone who has already attended (or is booked on to) a Working in Adult Social Care, Information Session, as well as individuals already registered in the Bury CARE Academy talent pool with no previous care experience.
If you're brand new to social care and haven't yet attended one of our information sessions, you're still very welcome to join, though you may find it helpful to attend an information session first to get a feel for the sector before diving in.

You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions, speak with people who work in the sector, and find out more about the roles available to you through our partner providers in Bury.
